The new concessions that the White House intends to make to Cuba with the purpose of “empowering” small private entrepreneurs is equivalent to the launch of a lifeline to a criminal dictatorship about to drown after having destroyed the country and compulsion to emigrate millions of its citizens.
In other words, the Biden Administration is preparing to further loosen the embargo and reward Castroism instead of pressuring it to disappear once and for all.
It has already been announced that MSMEs will be allowed access to credits and loans, even in situ, from the great banks of the United States, it does not matter that MSMEs are just a screen and are plugged directly into the military mafia that controls the Cuban economy.
In other words, the left-wing lobby that swarms in the Biden Administration, and the intelligence of the regime crouching in Washington propose to lift the private sector manipulated by the regime, to assemble it financially and commercially with American businessmen and with the small group of Cuban Americans eager to earn millions in the play, it does not matter if with them they perpetuate the dictatorship and the suffering of ordinary Cubans.
THE MSMES WERE CREATED BY CASTRO II TO CIRCUMVENT THE EMBARGO
Because, from the outset, the story of Little Red Riding Hood of the MSMEs in Washington is not swallowed by anyone, not even the leftists who. Everyone knows that it is a trap to circumvent the embargo, and receive credits or cash from the United States. And who doesn’t know at this point is half Moorish.
Everyone knows, or they are idiots, that the vast majority of MSMEs are in the hands of “father’s sons”, relatives of high leaders of the regime, or of generals of the FAR, well-known minions of State Security, and self-employed plugged into the dictatorship. In the end, the mipymeds are in fact one more arm of the transnational emporium GAESA.
Of course, smuggling in this plan is what at the moment seems to be the main practical objective of the White House, which is to stop, or cushion, the delirious exodus of Cubans who arrive illegally in the United States through the southern border, or by sea.
NOW THERE WILL BE NO HUGS, BUT THE MONEY AHEAD, BIG
Everything else that is said about it is pure hypocrisy. Joe Biden, as vice president of the country, witnessed the colossal failure of his boss (and still is) Barak Obama with his large unilateral concessions to Havana in search of softening the little heart of the tyrant Raúl Castro, not to be “so bad,” and become a Western liberal democrat.
The response of Castro II and the then still living Castro I was to stop the so-called economic reforms that were underway, and give a Stalinist, starving and very repressive reverse.
This time there will be no more hugs. Now Biden and his boys (guided by the Colombian Juan González) supporters of approaching the dictatorship instead of pressuring it to fall, they will no longer make promises, but they will release the money ahead without asking for anything in return. Nothing to insinuate in secret conversations that the State should give the Cuban private sector more space, freedom and independence.
In other words, now the money is released first, already, quickly, without even having the necessary information about the rules of the game to invest money. Those currencies will give oxygen to the dictatorship, when it is weaker, and what is imposed is to cut its income so that it collapses once and for all.
In short, we are facing a dirty, very low blow from the US government to the people of Cuba. Pretexting that the devastating Castro-fascist-communist tyranny, all at the same time, can evolve willingly towards democracy is an insult to human intelligence.
CONVERTING CUBA INTO ANOTHER CHINA?
That’s why in the end there is another non-explicit purpose for now, to turn Cuba into another China, this one only 90 miles from the United States.
In search of greater profits with the payment of lower wages, the industrialized nations took China out of its semi-feudal backwardness and made it the factory in the world and the second largest economy of all. Well, many businessmen from the United States, Europe and everyone would be happy to be able to do something similar with Cuba.
But that “squeak” (with the pardon of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language) of Cuba is not what Cubans want, need and deserve. In China, the same Communist Party continues to govern that killed 65 million citizens, starved, or executed. The Chinese are still slaves of that genocidal party-state.
Cubans want the end of Castro slavery, that justice is done, enjoy the universal freedom to which they are entitled to build the free, prosperous, democratic and developed Cuba that they deserve after having suffered the longest humanistic cataclysm that has ever occurred in the Western Hemisphere.
This apparently imminent new rapprochement of Washington sabotages and goes in the opposite direction to that very just Cuban aspiration.
